The analysis of variance revealed significant differences among genotypes for the characters germination percentage, seedling vigour index-I, seedling vigour index-II, field emergence, electrical conductivity and moisture percentage. The extent of genetic variability and correlation for seed quality traits in eighty-four genotypes revealed that wide genetic variability with high heritability and genetic advance was observed for seedling vigour index-I, seedling vigour index-II and electrical conductivity. Germination percentage is positively correlated with seedling vigour index-I, seedling vigour index-II and field emergence and negatively correlated with electrical conductivity.
