Aims and Scope
Aims
Emergent Life Sciences Research (ELSR) is an international peer-reviewed open-access journal that publishes high-quality original research, review articles, and short communications in the fields of plant sciences, agricultural sciences, and related biological systems.
The journal aims to advance scientific understanding of biological processes, environmental adaptation, crop improvement, and sustainable agricultural systems through the dissemination of innovative and impactful research.
Particular emphasis is placed on studies addressing plant responses to environmental challenges, physiological and molecular mechanisms of stress tolerance, and strategies for improving agricultural productivity under changing climatic conditions.

Editorial Focus
Effective from July 2026, the journal has refined its scientific focus to strengthen coverage of plant stress biology, crop physiology, agricultural biotechnology, and sustainable agricultural systems. While the journal's archival content reflects its broader historical scope, future submissions are primarily encouraged in plant stress biology, crop physiology, agricultural biotechnology, plant genetics, and sustainable agricultural systems.
