Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Research Article

Research Articles report original, unpublished, and scientifically sound research that provides significant advances in plant stress biology, crop physiology, agricultural biotechnology, plant genetics, sustainable agriculture, and related life sciences. Manuscripts should present clearly defined objectives, appropriate methodology, robust data analysis, and evidence-based conclusions. All submissions must comply with the journal's ethical standards and author guidelines. Following an initial editorial assessment, manuscripts are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process by independent experts before a final editorial decision is made.

Review Article

Review Articles provide comprehensive, critical, and up-to-date analyses of important topics within the journal's scope. Reviews should synthesize recent scientific advances, identify current knowledge gaps, discuss emerging trends, and propose future research directions. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses are particularly encouraged. All Review Articles undergo editorial evaluation and double-blind peer review prior to publication.

Short Communications

Short Communications reports novel and significant research findings that warrant rapid dissemination but may not require a full-length article. Manuscripts should present concise experimental results with clear scientific significance and adequate methodological details. All submissions undergo editorial screening and double-blind peer review.

Mini Review

Mini Reviews provide concise, focused, and critical summaries of recent advances in specific research areas within the journal's scope. Unlike comprehensive review articles, Mini Reviews emphasize emerging concepts, recent discoveries, methodological developments, or current challenges while providing a balanced evaluation of the available literature. They should present a clear perspective on the significance of the topic and identify future research opportunities. Mini Reviews undergo an initial editorial assessment followed by a double-blind peer-review process conducted by independent experts before publication.

Perspectives

Perspective articles present scholarly opinions and forward-looking viewpoints on emerging scientific challenges, innovative concepts, policy developments, or future research opportunities relevant to the journal's scope. Perspectives should be evidence-based, balanced, and supported by current scientific literature. All submissions are evaluated by the editorial team and may undergo peer review when appropriate.

Letters to the Editor

Letters to the Editor provide concise scholarly comments on recently published articles, scientific issues, or matters of general interest relevant to the journal's scope. Letters should present constructive scientific discussion supported by appropriate evidence. The editorial office evaluates all submissions, and external peer review may be conducted when considered necessary.

Editorial

Editorials are invited articles written by the Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board members, or invited experts. They provide commentary on important scientific developments, journal policies, special issues, or topics of broad interest to the scientific community. Editorials are evaluated by the editorial office and are generally not subject to external peer review.
